Summerbreak? I guess...

One of the nice parts of having a weblog is you can look back on your own writing, reflect, check your current behaviour and make some conclusion out of it. The last couple of weeks I just didn’t feel like writing at all. My daughter Tess is taking a lot of (nice and warm) attention, work is booming and on the side I am also involved in some weblog-related projects in the Netherlands. So my agenda is solid booked every week. I tried to cramp in some thinking- and writing-time and I found out this time was always spent on something else. I was thinking to myself that I had this feeling before and after some searching I found an article from June last year which describes the exact feelings I am feeling again. So maybe this is some recurring moment in my life? An annual writingbreak which I need to take, to re-fuel, to get back in line, to find out what the purpose is of this blog, my vision of the GTD-world I am playing a part in. Time for some reflection again?
Whatever it exactly is, I am taking a break again. My feeling says it will be a month, maybe longer. I do think I will post some quick notes somewhere along the line but no big ideas, articles or friday 5ives. It’s summertime I guess…

Been feeling the same myself lately and have been tinking as to why it may be. One thought – We are approaching the 6th month of the year, half way mark on our hopes and aspirations for the year. Perhaps it’s an instictive pause to take stock, reflect and recharge – I don’t know but feel like it is for me.

Wow, summer has come early to you, I guess. After all, demotivation isn’t quite the GTD way. But I guess everyone needs a break once in a while, so it’s probably for the best

Thanks for this post! Sometimes a step back/break is the best answer to “blogging dryness” and a super taxing schedule.

Good luck!

I think summer is slow for everyone.

Enjoy your summer. Chill and when you return you’ll be amped up. Take care.
